Description
This book addresses how to effectively manage transient operations - a time with relatively high risk - to help a company reduce its operating risks. It addresses how to prepare for the safe start-up and shutdown of chemical processes. It illustrates several situations and provides guidance on how to anticipate and avoid major upsets during startups or shutdowns. The also covers how to safely shutdown during emergencies, and then, if different from the normal start-up, how to safely start-up after unplanned shutdowns.
